Head towards Sagres on the N125 untill you see the Ecomarche round about and supermarket on your righthand side. 100 metres ahead you will see another roundabout and a sign for salema and Figueira. Turn here, but do not take the Salema road, rather the road bearing to the right to Figueira. Continue all the way through the village until you come to the last house on the right hand side, which is the house. It has a garden to one side and a wall going all the way around. The house is called casa do poco, which is written in tiles on the wall. To park you must continue past the house and turn right onto the calcada track. The key will be in a coded box outside the front door. There is also an emergency key inside.
The Algarve offers good year round fishing conditions! The advantage of the western Algarve is the option of fishing the south and west coast beaches. The south coast offers generally calmer conditions and easy accessible beaches great for bass fishing. The west coast is also close by with its wild and rugged coastline full of many breath taking beaches, headlands and coves. Here you can find some of the best bass fishing in Europe.
The old village of Figueira is still a typical example of rural Algarve life and virtually unaffected by modern day tourism. Small whitewashed houses in a maze of narrow winding cobbled streets, are now complimented by a few small restaurants, some bars and a couple of minimarkets. Here you can still purchase freshly caught fish and newly baked bread!
